Sail along the Strait of Magellan towards Magdalena Island andMarta Island, both of which form the Natural Monument “Los Penguins”, that protects more than 120,000 penguins and also a small colonyof sea lions.
Both islands form an interesting ecosystem, making a must-see for any visitor, while Marta Island houses sea lions cormorants, skúas, southern gulls, Antarctic pigeons and elephant seals. Magdalena Island allows us to interact with one of the largest penguin colonies in Magellan, going beyond 150,000 birds. During navigation it is possible to see Southern Dolphins and Toninas Overas (dolphin species).
To protect wildlife, Marta Island is only circumnavigated to admire and photograph the Colony and the diversity of seabirds that livethere. However, on Magdalena Island it is possible to disembark forabout an hour, walk and interact with the colony.
